Why I Started Byte Bee — and Who It's Really For
This one’s a bit different. No tips, no tactics — just the story behind Byte Bee, and why I built it the way I did.
Two Decades in the Corporate World
I spent over two decades working in operations management, helping large organisations grow, transform, and work smarter. I’ve seen the inside of big businesses — the processes, the budgets, the agencies they work with, and the results they get.
It’s a world with a lot of resources. And a lot of options.
The Gap I Kept Seeing
But wherever I worked, I kept noticing something that bothered me.
Small and medium businesses in our local communities — the independents, the tradespeople, the family-run shops, the ambitious startups — were doing incredible work. Real craftsmanship. Genuine expertise. Loyal customers who loved them.
And yet they were being left behind digitally.
Not because they lacked ambition. Not because they didn’t care. But because the right support simply wasn’t accessible to them. The big agencies were too expensive, too impersonal, or too focused on their larger clients to give smaller businesses the attention they deserved. And the cheap options often delivered exactly that — cheap results.
There was a gap. And it needed filling.
So I Built Byte Bee
In 2023, I launched Byte Bee right here in Poynton, Cheshire.
Not a faceless agency hiding behind a contact form. Not a one-size-fits-all package churned out for whoever pays. A proper local digital partner — one that takes the time to actually understand your business, your customers, and your goals, and then builds something that works.
